What is a skin booster?

Unlike volumising fillers, skin boosters are spread through the skin in tiny amounts to improve hydration and texture rather than change facial shape. They can be used on the face, neck, décolletage and hands.

May help with

  • Dehydration and dullness
  • Fine crepey lines
  • Rough texture on the neck or hands

Who it may suit

  • Adults wanting better skin quality without added volume

What we assess first

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Active acne, rosacea flare or infection in the area

How does a skin booster work?

Hyaluronic acid attracts and holds water within the skin, supporting hydration and elasticity. Some products also contain ingredients intended to support skin quality.

What happens during the appointment?

Numbing cream is applied for comfort, then a series of small injections are placed across the treatment area.

Every plan starts with a consultation with Dr. Karim Haddad or another member of the medical team. Read our patient information before your visit.

Frequently asked questions

Will skin boosters change my features?

No. They are designed to improve skin quality, not shape or volume.

What is the difference between skin boosters and fillers?

Skin boosters spread a thin, fluid hyaluronic acid through the skin to improve hydration, texture and fine crepey lines. Dermal fillers are thicker gels placed to add volume or shape. Skin boosters do not change your features, so they suit people who want healthier-looking skin rather than more volume.

How many skin booster sessions do I need?

Most skin booster courses are two or three sessions, about four weeks apart. Hydration and glow usually improve over the course, and results typically last around six months. After that, one maintenance session every six months or so keeps the effect, depending on the product and your skin.

How much do skin boosters cost in Dubai?

At Luméra Clinic, skin boosters start from AED 1,500 per session, and a typical course is two to three sessions. The price depends on the product and the areas treated, such as the face, neck or hands. Your exact course price is confirmed in writing at consultation.
