What is microneedling?

Microneedling uses a sterile, single-use cartridge of fine needles to create tiny, controlled channels in the skin. This prompts natural repair and collagen production.

May help with

  • Fine lines
  • Mild acne scarring
  • Enlarged pores and dullness

Who it may suit

  • Most adults with textural concerns

What we assess first

  • Active acne, infection or cold sores
  • Keloid tendency or bleeding disorders
  • Isotretinoin in the past six months

How does microneedling work?

Micro-injuries trigger the healing cascade, gradually supporting firmer, smoother-looking skin.

What happens during the appointment?

After numbing cream, the device is moved across the skin in passes. A serum suitable for the procedure is applied.

Every plan starts with a consultation with Dr. Karim Haddad or another member of the medical team. Read our patient information before your visit.

Frequently asked questions

Is it painful?

With numbing cream most people describe it as a prickling sensation.

Does microneedling hurt?

Microneedling is done after numbing cream has been on the skin for about 30 to 45 minutes, so most people feel only light scratching or vibration. Bony areas such as the forehead can feel more sensitive. Skin is usually red, like mild sunburn, for one to three days afterwards.

How many microneedling sessions do I need?

Most people need three to six microneedling sessions, about four weeks apart. Skin may look brighter within a week, but collagen builds slowly, so texture, fine lines and mild scarring keep improving for several months after the course. One maintenance session a year is often suggested.

How much does microneedling cost in Dubai?

At Luméra Clinic, microneedling starts from AED 900 per session for the face, and a typical course is three to six sessions. Adding the neck or a serum such as a skin booster changes the price. Your exact course price is confirmed in writing at consultation.
